My name is Mark Dolby and driven by at least a stone of excess body fat and a fiscal stiumulus in the region of £100 a month, I’m on a one man mission to drag my ass to work and back on my bike every day.

I’m going to blog about it here in the hope that bragging about my ‘green credentials’ will help me turn an ordeal in to a habit.

I’m the Internal Communications Officer for the University of Bradford.  Originally from Derby I now live in Morley in Leeds just over 9 miles from my desk!

After what seemed like a fairly gentle shunt from a Mercedes one evening my Peugeot 106 was written off and rather than waste funds on another car I decided to buy a bike and start riding it to work.
