I met Helen and Mike when we all worked at a marketing agency and I’m claiming full credit for their engagement! Before Mike asked Helen to marry him I’d suggested we do an engagement ‘style’ shoot during a couple of quiet weeks in my schedule. Clearly it was this suggestion which inspired Mike to pop the question, which he did up in the Lake District a few weeks ago.
So now, this is the real deal! Their pre-wedding portraits ahead of their wedding next year, back up in the Lake district.
We headed to NewMiller Dam near Wakefield, one of their favourite spots for a walk.
We made the most of the late evening sun.
There was a great variety of locations available around the lake.
A special thanks goes to Helen’s sister Sarah, who began her chief bridesmaid duties early with some expert bag holding and photography assistance! I look forward to heading up to the lakes for their big day next year.
